Chapter 13 - Website Builder

This option can not be used with FrontPage or any other web page editor.

This powerful tool provides individuals with no desire to learn HTML with an alternative method of creating their own web pages in a GUI (Graphical User Interface - which just means using pictures or icons to work with it instead of having to type in codes and commands) environment.

Getting Started

To get started using this tool, log into your Control Panel at http://www.yourdomain.com/menu by providing your username and password. Once inside, click on the Website Builder icon and you will be taken to a new window where you will be able to utilize the Website Builder to build your web site.

The Website Builder sets up the pages you create in a separate directory named "whatever-your-username-is", so in order to see these pages on the web, you need to go to http://yourdomain.com/whatever-your-username-is. Once you are satisfied with your pages and you want to have them come up when people go to your domain name, then you need to Publish them as your main site, which is a choice in the Website Builder.
